Coteau De Chery 2018
Rhône Valley - Condrieu
Appearance: pale yellow colour with green tints, limpid
Nose: floral (acacia, honeysuckle, linden-tree), fruit (plum, pear), light smoky notes
Palate: the attack is fresh, well-balanced, mineral and salty notes with an aromatic and quiet tight final.
Sommelier's advice: It has its typical hint of spice and a subtle note of cardamom, within a dense, fine texture. The grape variety plays a supporting role and allows the granite soil to set out a straight trajectory.
Grape variety/varieties: Viognier
Harvest: Grapes are hand-harvested in boxes.
Soil: Grapes come from eroded granitic soils and mica-schists. The plot is south-facing.
Vinification: The whole bunches are pressed. Fermentation is carried out under controlled temperature (17°C) in casks with natural yeasts.
Ageing: The wine is aged in 600 litre-barrels for 8 months, and then for 2 months in vats.
Alcohol content: 14
