Appearance:
Intense golden yellow with golden and green highlights.
Nose:
Very intense, warm pebbles, caramel, very ripe, fruity lemon with floral notes of acacia and hawthorn.
Palate:
Rich, full-bodied and very complex on the palate, with notes of ripe fruit, spices and toast. Very good length with a fresh finish.
Sommelier's advice:
Serve with: Black Truffle and Parmesan Risotto.
Grape variety/varieties:
100% Marsanne.
Harvest:
To ensure a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness, each parcel is harvested by hand in several passes.
Soil:
East sector of Colline de l'Ermitage. Very ancient glacial alluvial soils. Rich in red clay.
Vinification:
Light settling. Whole grape pressing; moderate use of sulphur. Fermentation mostly in demi-muids, foudres (85% of which 10% new) and stainless steel vats (15%).
Ageing:
Aged on the lees for 11 months with a few stirring of the lees.
