Tasting notes
Appearance:
great golden colour.
Nose:
The nose presents aromas of fresh lemon with subtle smoky notes.
Palate:
On the palate the minerality and salinity give an exceptional tension to the wine and carry with subtlety the exotic notes. The palate is at the same time greedy and ample with a very nice length.
Sommelier's advice: Food pairings : ideal as an aperitif and at the end of the meal, you can enjoy it with a seafood platter or Bresse poultry.
Grape variety/varieties:
Riesling.
Harvest:
Grapes are hand-harvested in 20kg boxes.
Soil:
Plots are situated on blue schist soils from Villé.
Vinification:
A long pressing (8 hours) is performed. Then the vinification is carried out in big traditional Alsatian casks with natural yeasts.
Ageing:
The wine is aged for 15 months in big casks with malolactic fermentation.
