Sicamor 2023
Rhône Valley - Crozes-Hermitage

Tasting notes
Appearance:
Deep, golden yellow with green tints.
Nose:
Powerful and complex with notes of yellow-fleshed fruits, a lovely reduction characteristic of granitic soils.
Palate:
Full-bodied, dominated by minerality with a taut finish. Beautiful bitter notes of Marsanne contribute roundness and freshness to the wine.
Grape variety/varieties:
100% Marsanne.
Harvest:
The grapes are hand-harvested at optimum ripeness.
Soil:
This wine is a blend of parcels primarily situated in the northern part of the vineyard. Grown on steep slopes at high altitudes, the grapes benefit from the unique terroir of Tournon granites and white earth loess, contributing to the wine's tension and freshness. To complete the blend, grapes from parcels situated on Rhône River alluvial terraces are included.
Vinification:
The grapes are pressed whole. Fermentation is thermo-regulated in demi-muids at 17°C with indigenous yeasts and regular stirring.
Ageing:
The wine is then aged for 10 months in 600-liter demi-muids, followed by 2 months in vats.
Alcohol content:
