Tasting notes
Silky attack, concentrated palate with pulpy fruit. Notes of blueberry coulis, bacon, and mild spices. Long and complex finish.
The parcel from which this wine is made faces southwest toward the setting sun. The soil is a silty clay with red clays and a limestone bedrock, offering a notable depth that helps limit water stress.
The wine is made in concrete tanks, with a portion of whole clusters (25%) and native yeasts. Approximately
30 days of maceration.
The wine is aged in French oak barrels of 300L and demi-muids of 600L, with a mix of new barrels and
barrels from 2-3 previous vintages – for 18 months.
