Appearance:
very intense purplish red.
Nose:
red fruits, blackcurrant and raspberry, followed by violet aromas.
Palate:
ample and round, final of stewed fruits and vanilla.
Sommelier's advice: "Les Meyonniers" is a wine with fleshy tannins, and loads of floral and black fruit notes, as well as elegance.
Recommended food pairing: Oven-baked veal rack with forestry sauce and Hasselback potatoes.
Serving temperature : 15-17°C.

Harvest:
Hand and mechanical harvesting, taking care to respect the integrity of the berries.
Soil:
Alluvial Terroir in the south of the Crozes-Hermitage appellation, shaped by the terraces of the Rhône and Isère rivers. Villages of Mercurol, Pont de l'Isère and Beaumont Monteux.
Vinification:
Vinification in concrete vats after destemming. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and moderate use of sulfur. Maceration for 3 to 4 weeks.
Ageing:
Aged in unlined concrete vats (90%) and 10% in barrels for approximately 12 months.
