Appearance:
robe jaune or aux reflets verts, limpide, brillante.le nez est ouvert sur des notes de fruits exotiques comme l’ananas et la mangue conférées par le caractère solaire de ce coteau exposé sud. On retrouve également des expressions très minérales de fleurs blanches.
Nose:
golden yellow colour with green tints, limpid and brilliant.
Palate:
the nose exhibits exotic fruit aromas such as pineapple and mango which are conferred by the solar characteristic of this south-facing slope. We also notice very mineral notes of blossoms.
Sommelier's advice: the attack is powerful with ripe fruit aromas. The schisty characteristic of this soil is exhibited with a great acidity and iodized notes on the finale.
Harvest:
The plots are located on blue schist soils from Villé.
Soil:
Riesling.
Vinification:
Grapes are manually harvested in 20kg boxes.
Ageing:
Grapes are pressed for about 8 hours. Then they are vinified in big traditional Alsatian casks and ferment with natural yeasts.
