Appearance:
gold with greenish highlights.
Nose:
The nose presents pretty empyreumatic, honeyed notes, sought after by older Riesling lovers.
Palate:
The palate is powerful and sunny. The smoothness brought by the empyreumatic notes gives a very nice length to the wine.
Sommelier's advice:
To be decanted before use.
Serve with: Meat terrine with foie gras and lemon meringue pie.

Harvest:
The grapes are harvested by hand into 20kg trays.
Soil:
Acid brown soils from Villé schists.
Vinification:
Vinification starts with a long pressing, then a static cold settling is carried out. Indigenous yeasts are used for fermentation, malolactic fermentation is partial.
Ageing:
10 months in large barrels on fine lees.
