"Dark purple. Heady smoke- and spice-accented aromas of red fruit preserves, cola and incense are enlivened by a mineral quality. Palate-coating black raspberry and cherry compote flavors are lifted by peppery spice and floral nuances, with a hint of chewing tobacco emerging on the back half. Expands and deepens on the finish, which is framed by smooth, subtle tannins that fold into the wine's eneregtic fruit."

The grapes are hand harvested at optimum maturity.
Brown soils and colluvium derived from metamorphosed granite (leptynites) with a varying amount of pebbles, from the Primary Era.
The grapes are fully de-stemmed. Maceration lasts 4 weeks in concrete tanks with regular pumping over to ensure gentle extraction. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are carried out in barrel using native flor.
The wine is then aged in oak barrels which have already been used for several wines.
