Maison M. CHAPOUTIER has been ranked for the 4th time, first French brand among the 50 most recognized brands in the world.

Ranked since 2011 in the “World’s Most Admired Wine Brands“ classification published by the British magazine Drinks International. Maison M. CHAPOUTIER has become in 2019 the first French brand to appear on the list and is also ranked 5th internationally.

Established 1808 in Tain-l’Hermitage, at the heart of the Rhone Valley. Maison M. CHAPOUTIER looks carefully after their vineyards from one season to another. It’s the fruit of this work and the endless curiosity of Michel Chapoutier and his team that have been rewarded for a few years with this title of first French Wine Brands among the 50 laureates. M. CHAPOUTIER has jumped up from the 6th to 5th, making the brand the top

french producer in this year’s list. It reinforces its position as a key wine maker in France and abroad. Maison M. CHAPOUTIER has been part of the prestigious ranking since its first edition in 2011 and was ranked the first French brand 5 times in 9 years (2012, 2013, 2016, 2018 and 2019!).

Vinification reminds an aromatic symphony. It is a music that requires good players, good instruments, good notes, all in good timing. The winemaker gives his interpretation, without betraying what the terroir has to offer, without correction.

The judging panel reflects the global wine industry and consists of more than 200 wine professionals, journalists, educators, retailers and Masters of Wine who are polled each year to nominate the World’s Most Admired Wine Brands out of more than a 100 000 wineries accross the world. The judging criteria includes; wines of consistent or improving Quality, wines that reflect region or country, a brand that is well marketed and packaged and brands that have a strong appeal to a wide demographic.
