Dégustation
Oeil :
Pale gold with brilliant highlights.
Nez :
Reductive with mineral notes of flint. A hint of boxwood, toasted sesame and white flowers notes, and a touch of fresh butter.
Bouche :
Fresh on entry, with a saline palate with finely toasted notes. Sapid finish with noble bitters and notes of fresh lemon zest. Hints of hawthorn and a touch of brown butter. A great wine in the making. Immense length and vibrant acidity.
Les conseils du Sommelier :
Like a stream of saline pearls on the palate, the finesse and purity of the Marsanne at its most beautiful, of great minerality. The tension is already remarkable. Our favourite!
Cépage(s) :
Marsanne. Selection of our oldest vines.
Vendanges :
Hand harvesting at maturity.
Sol :
Situated at the top of the Hermitage hill, around the chapel, in a place named the “Ermite”, soils are very poor and granitic.

After a light cold-settling, fermentation is entirely made in casks between 18 and 20°C.
