Oeil :
Garnet-red with slightly tile-red tints.
Nez :
Nose of jammy red berries, fur and smoked charcuterie. Sweet spices, tonka beans and a hint of cedar.
Bouche :
powerful tannins, liquorice. According to the vintage, the wine can be kept from 30 to 60 years, indeed from 50 to 75 years.

100% Syrah.
Vendanges :
Manual harvesting at optimal ripeness.
Sol :
At the foot of the hill of Hermitage. A terroir made up of terraces of glacial alluvium (Würm) and river sediments.
Vinification :
Vinification in small concrete tanks after destemming. Fermentation with indigenous yeasts and moderate use of sulfur. Maceration for 3 to 4 weeks.
Elevage :
Fully in barrels and small casks for a duration of about 16 to 18 months with 15% new barrels.
