Dégustation
Oeil :
bright ruby red.
Nez :
raspberries, blackberries, strawberries and spice.
Bouche :
bright summer fruits with a white pepper and spice finish, complemented by fine tannins. A full bodied wine with a long finish.
Les conseils du Sommelier : Recommended food pairing: leg of lamb, game terrines, mushrooms. Serving temperature: 15-16°C. Ageing potential: more than 5 years.
Cépage(s) :
Grenache.
Vendanges :
Handpicked in late March, at optimal ripeness, Grenache’s potential relies on careful vineyard management and meticulous flavour assessment at the time of harvest.
Sol :
A mixture of clay, siltstone, quartz and shale.
Vinification :
The fruit was destemmed and transferred into a stainless steel tank where it was kept cool until fermentation started naturally. A 4-5 week maceration allowed for maximum colour and the tannins to soften.
Elevage :
The wine was aged in concrete tanks for 12 months.
