It boasts a saturated ruby/purple color as well as an extraordinary bouquet of smoked duck, roasted Provencal herbs, black cherry liqueur, cassis, licorice, and truffle. Incredible density, a voluptuous texture, and remarkable concentration mark this fresh, lively, mouthfilling wine that should age effortlessly for 20-25 years.

93/100.In the south, Chapoutier may be making one of the greatest wines to emerge from the Cotes du Roussillon. The superb 2006 Cotes du Roussillon Visitare Interiore Terrae, a blend of 65% Grenache and 35% Syrah, exhibits gamy, meaty aromas intermingled with kirsch, raspberries, licorice, and garrigue. It is a full-bodied red displaying superb purity and length.

Tasting

Colour : the colour is garnet-red, very steady, deep and brilliant with purple lights.
Nose : open, expressive and complex with aromas of very ripe black fruits (elderberry, blackberry), some spicy scents (pepper, Garrigue).
Mouth : great attack, tight but silky tannins. One notices a dominance of spicy scents, a lot of richness, a good length and a very ethereal final.
